ALL CAMPUSES MEETING ONLINE ONLY through November 1st
Posted Saturday October 24th and updated October 26th
COTR Friends & Family,
First of all, I want to say "THANK YOU SO MUCH” for your generosity to our missionaries during our 2020 ECHO Global Missions Conference! Our ability to celebrate over $328,000 given and pledged over these three days is a direct result of your love and generosity for the hurting around the world and our missionaries who serve them!
SECONDLY, but of primary importance, we need to let you know about some immediate changes happening this Sunday and next week across all locations.
On Tuesday evening a key staff member from our North Campus tested positive for COVID-19, and one key staff member who served at each of our ECHO conference gatherings this past week was tested today (Thursday). Although this staff member will not have their test results for 3-5 days, it seems likely they will test positive as well.
In light of these things, we feel it is in the best interest of our church and community that we do two things;
Inform you of these situations.
Secondly, that we move ALL scheduled weekend services, small groups, and events to our online platform now through November 1st across ALL CAMPUSES.
This would include, Sunday services, youth and young adult services, Women’s Connect, Small/Life Groups, Wednesday night classes, and Palmer’s Harvest Party event. For more details and specific information please contact your campus office or campus staff.
We have always known there’s some risk involved in gathering together in larger groups right now, and we’ve had a plan to minimize the impact should we believe the risk is significant enough. We’re committed to doing whatever is in your best interest should any reason for concern arise, big or small.
We believe it’s worth pausing and doing things differently for a short period of time in order to ensure that we avoid creating bigger issues for those in our church and our communities.
We will keep you updated over the next few days and I am so grateful for each of you!
Stay Safe & Full Of Faith,
Pastor Jonathan Walker

Meet Lead Pastor, JONATHAN WALKER
Pastor Jonathan Walker is the Lead Pastor of Church on the Rock. He and his wife Kitri have experienced the overwhelming impact of Jesus in their own lives and have been motivated to love and serve others as a result. They consider it a privilege to spend their lives extending that invitation to others. Jonathan first moved to Alaska in 1993 and simply fell in love with this place and its people. Over the years, the Walkers have taught at Alaska Bible Institute, hosted conferences for parents and teens throughout the state, served as youth pastors and most recently been “church planters” in Homer, AK. They and their family are honored to lead the passionate and gifted team of people at Church on The Rock
